The idea of villages in a 12-storey residential to promote interaction between the different generations living there. The building is segregated into 3 different volumes that allows for voids to be formed. These voids are interpreted as ‘communities’ within the building, where each community has a sky garden. Each void is designed such that by reducing the level of visual interaction between the top floor corridor and the ground floor, interaction is promoted visually. As the user walks along the corridor from their unit, they would look down onto the sky garden below to allow them to have a visual connection with people within the ‘community’.
